My client, a Global Energy Organisation, is looking to hire a Business Analyst with Commodity Trading experience
Roles and Responsibilities:-
Own and manage the relationship with the Users
Drive consensus and approval of requirements and solution definition across the global user community.
Provide 3rd line expert support for the production solution including incident and problem analysis of production issues as they arise.
Conduct business and systems analysis of change and maintenance requests producing appropriate analysis deliverables (e.g. change request impact assessments; functional specifications and logical data models).
Essential Skills & Experience:-
Knowledge of Commodity trading business trading physical products, preferably Oil or other Energy products
Appreciation of the overall Back-office process for a physical Oil trading organisation including settlement pricing and accounting processes
Able to develop domain knowledge with respect to the new solutions such as Bespoke, Java, Weblogic, Oracle, and SAP R3, SAP, BW
Solid experience as a business analyst within IT development project environments
Full project life-cycle experience from requirements gathering to testing with evidence of creating specification documentation
Good understanding of structured analysis methodologies, standards, tools & techniques e.g. UML, SSADM, Agile techniques (Scrum).
